About Us
Qualified Instructors
Our Instructors are certified by Choi Kwang Do International Martial Art, are Disclosure Scotland PVG checked and have GDPR and First Aid training.
Friendly & Welcoming
We run our classes in a less formal way to some other martial arts. We want our students to be relaxed and feel they can ask for assistance at any time. Instructors are always available to help.
Students train at their own pace. While encouraged to push themselves they are not forced to do activities that they feel they are not ready for.
Choi Kwang Do
Choi Kwang Do is the style of martial arts practiced by Westhill Choi Kwang Do Martial Arts. Choi Kwang Do uses natural, easy-to-learn, sequential movements that will enhance your health as you learn self-defence. It uses sequential movement to transfer natural energy from one body segment and allows muscle groups to work intricately together to produce the most effective and powerful movements.
The journey from White Belt to Black Belt is one of incremental learning and skill development, that students of any age and fitness level can embark on.
Tuition
Adult Classes (Postponed)
Focused training of Choi Kwang Do skills and techniques while building stamina, improving recovery time and increasing flexibility. There is more attention to self-defence aspects of the martial art in the Adult Classes. These classes are great for those coming back to fitness training or complete beginners and caters for people with different fitness and mobility levels.
Family Classes
Adults and children working together as equals to improve confidence and mental/physical agility while of course having fun! The Family Classes provide a great opportunity to spend quality time and share a common interest with your children.
